In the Republic of Ireland, the Accounting Technician Apprenticeship programme is fully funded by SOLAS, with no recruitment costs and a €4,000 employer grant per hire over the course of the two-year programme. It leads to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Accounting.
In Northern Ireland, the Higher Level Apprenticeship for Accounting Technicians is a work-based learning programme leading to a Level 5 CCEA Diploma for Accounting Technicians.
Our HLA is now the leading programme of its kind in Northern Ireland and has created more than 1,000 new professional accounting jobs.

Apprentices work with you, their employer, four days a week and study one day a week with one of our partner colleges during the academic term. Outside of the academic term, they work five days a week with their employer.
The programme leads to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Accounting in the Republic of Ireland, and the Level 5 Higher-Level Apprenticeship in Northern Ireland.

The framework of the course suited because I was able to watch lectures and study after work and combine learning with employment and being a mother.
